12 indicted by grand jury

A Howard County grand jury handed down a dozen indictments Thursday morning, including several first-degree felonies.

Among those true billed were:

• Amber Ray Alexander, 31, of 1907 S. Runnels, theft less than $1,500 with two or more previous convictions (state jail felony).
• Ashley Michelle Batterton, 22, of 2609 Neill, possession of a controlled substance (state jail felony).
• Bobby Lynn Dykes Jr., 30, of 2627 Fairchild, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (state jail felony).
• Christy Jo Clark, 37, of 6602 E. Robinson Rd., attempted aggravated robbery (second-degree felony).
• Consuelo Salazar Garcia, 32, of 1300 Blackmon, evading arrest (state jail felony).
• Ismael Mickie Juarez, 50, currently in the custody of the Howard County Detention Center, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (first-degree felony, enhanced).
• Adolph Leon Labbe Jr., 36, currently in the custody of the Howard County Detention Center, possession of a controlled substance (third-degree felony, enhanced).
• Christopher Alton Raney, 38, currently in the custody of the Howard County Detention Center, burglary of a building with intent to commit theft (state jail felony).
• Jacob Ian Strain, 30, of 1002 N. Main St. Apt. 21 or 1019 Nolan, delivery of a controlled substance (two counts, both first-degree felonies) and forgery (state jail felony).
• Monica J. McGruder, 38, of 2911 W. Highway 80 Apt. 256 or 100 Lockhart Trailer A, forgery (state jail felony).
• Tiffine Vanderbilt, 26, currently in the custody of the Howard County Detention Center, possession of a controlled substance (first-degree felony, enhanced).
• Kimberly Rueda Williams, 23, of 601 Elgin or 408 Westover Rd., delivery of a controlled substance (second-degree felony) and possession of a controlled substance (third-degree felony).
