STANTON — A 19-year-old Big Spring man was killed Sunday night in a one-vehicle rollover crash about 8.2 miles northeast of Stanton.
According to information released by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Peyton Ross Jennings was pronounced dead by Martin County Justice of the Peace Pam McAnally Sunday at the scene of the accident along FM 3033.
A December 2016 graduate of Forsan High School, Jennings planned to walk the stage in late May when the school held its annual ceremony, according to high school principal Terry McDonald. The school has taken action to help its students during this time, McDonald said.
“Our counselors are available for the students as needed,” he added.
Emergency services received a call about the one-vehicle rollover around 8:50 p.m. Sunday. Jennings was driving. His passenger, 33-year-old Andrew Sommers, sustained incapacitating injuries and was airlifted to Odessa, DPS reports
