June Minchew, 76, of Big Spring, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Walter McCall officiating.
She was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Erath County, Texas, and married Bill Minchew Sr., Nov. 5, 1956, in Lovington, N.M. He preceded her in death March 20, 2011.
June was a Baptist.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Spurny and husband Joe of Midland; many cousins; and numerous caring friends.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Billy Minchew Jr.; her father, Jim Hightower; her mother, Bobbie Seary; and two sisters, Doris Jane Steuteville and Jackie Lavelle Hightower.
