Both, the Forsan and Petrolia softball teams were strong on the mound in Friday’s first game of their best-two-of-three Regional Semi-Finals series, but Petrolia was just a little bit stronger at the plate and managed to come away with the 3-0 victory.
“I believe that tomorrow we will have a stronger performance at the plate and that it will more than likely be another close game; hopefully two games if it goes our way,” said Taylor. “We just have to work on scoring runners when we have them on base. I believe we are just as good as Petrolia is, player for player.”
Both teams will make their way back to Abilene Christian University today to face off in game two of their series at 1:00 p.m. Should Forsan lose, their playoff run will come to a close, as well as their season. If the Lady Buffs win, a third game will immediately follow to determine the Regional Semi-Final Champions.
