The Alon USA/7-Eleven Funtastic Fourth is already planning for big names to showcase at this year’s lineup event. This is the 15th annual Funtastic Fourth coordinated and put on by the Big Spring Downtown Revitalization Association. The festival is “growing massively” according to Allan Johnson, who has helped coordinate the whole thing since its beginning.
“It has grown from a few thousand at the first event, to between 30,000 and 50,000 people,” said Johnson.
2017’s event boasts the likes of artists Ronnie Milsap, Great White, Quiet Riot, and Mark McKinney scheduled to headline the free two-day event.
An event that draws in crowds this massive takes a lot of work, about a years’ worth to be exact.
In addition to the live music, the event has vendors with unique foods and crafts, as well as carnival type rides for the kid-zone. If you’re a vendor and are interested in getting a booth downtown for the event you can contact Don Rodgers
at 432-214-5451 or go online to for an application.
Volunteers are needed to help keep the event running smooth. If you wanted to volunteer you can visit the website or contact Lana Saverance at 432-816-1058 for more information. Funtastic Fourth will be held June 23 and 24,
